As the title states, my heart stopped. The extraordinary beauty and spirit of Yosemite was right in front of me, and I felt so blessed to witness this splendor. Yosemite was my teacher those days, and it changed the way I painted. Going through hundreds of reference photos, sketches and color notes when I got home, brought me to this painting.
